The outlook for the company is strong as it continues to set higher goals for sustained success together.   Position Summary The Toolmaker manufactures and repairs fixtures, jigs, cutting tools and gauges to support gear and gearbox manufacturing.   Essential Functions ·         Work from blueprints, sketches and specifications, to determine materials required, method and machinery to be used to fabricate tools. ·         Compute dimensions, plans layout and determine assembly method and sequence of operations. ·         Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to machine tools. ·         Inspect and verify conformance of machined tools to drawings and specifications. ·         Able to use conversational programming to create CNC equipment programs. ·         Other activities, duties or responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.   Experience and Education ·         A minimum of 5 years of toolmaking work experience. ·         High school diploma or equivalent required. ·         Degree/certificate from vocational school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.   Competencies and Skills ·         Analytical ·         Problem-solver ·         Teamwork ·         Adaptability ·         Dependability ·         Initiative ·         Innovative   Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
