Support Specialist I – Overview
Aero IT is seeking a Support Specialist I to serve as the first point of contact for technology-related requests of all severity, complexity, and urgency. This role is essential in ensuring seamless IT support for our clients, handling incoming requests via helpdesk systems, email, phone, and verbal communication. The Support Specialist I will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving Level I technical issues, escalating more complex issues as needed, and maintaining service level agreements.
This role is ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of technology, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. As part of Aero IT, you will be part of a dynamic, client-focused team that values efficiency, innovation, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first line of support for client technology requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level I technical issues.
- Escalate Level II and III issues to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure resolution of issues within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks according to established checklists.
- Support all departments in meeting company goals.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of basic technology concepts and troubleshooting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with office productivity and communication-related software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
- Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification(s) (Preferred).
- Professional office experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
