POSITION SUMMARY
The System Administrator provides design, implementation, and technical support for ASI’s corporate information systems including Windows and Linux servers and workstations, Office 365 services, database servers, Cisco-based networking, and enterprise storage technologies. The individual has primary responsibility for identifying IT-relevant requirements driven by business needs, industry regulations, or security standards and accomplishing projects to meet the need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administration of server and workstation operating systems. Windows Server and Workstation. Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Administration of common enterprise IT technologies including Active Directory, SQL Server, TCP/IP Networking, Storage-Area Networking (SAN), Backups, Hyper-V virtualization.
- Administration of cloud systems including Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, InTune, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange), Salesforce, and Jira.
- Maximize IT effectiveness by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with vendors.
- Design system configuration; direct system installation; define, document, and enforce system standards.
- Maintain uptime expectations for corporate IT systems.
- Manage the implementation and delivery of projects meeting established timelines, budgets, and expectations of functionality.
- Oversee and participates in the resolution of issues logged in the ticketing system.
- Provide mentoring to helpdesk team.
- Actively involved in establishing, implementing, and revising corporate IT Plans and Policies.
- Maintain awareness of the IT and cybersecurity landscape by continuously expanding knowledge through educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Apply industry best practices and applicable security standards to IT systems as required.
- Establish projects including defined deliverables and timelines, and ensure delivery as both an individual contributor and a project lead.
- Prioritize as needed to balance project-based activities with day-to-day technical support and system administration needs.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
MID- 3-7 Years
This role requires the ability to work with business stakeholders to identify appropriate technology solutions for solving business problems.
- 5 years managing many of the described enterprise IT technologies (Required)
- 5 years managing TCP/IP networks and related networking technologies (Required)
- 3 years managing Office 365 platforms including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams (Preferred)
- Experience with the tools and processes involved in IT asset management (Preferred)
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing software (Preferred)
- Flexibility to schedule work around core business hours or on-demand when necessary (Required occasionally)
- Relevant technical certification(s) (Preferred)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree with a technical major, or equivalent experience.

- Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel)
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen
- Must be able to pass an initial background check.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Employee/selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (as required)
- Must be able and willing to travel within the Central Florida region (0 – 10%)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typically employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in an office environment consisting of offices and cubicles with low to moderate noise and bright or dim lighting. The work is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as external customers.
