Aviation Stockroom/Stores Supervisor

Summary:

The Aviation Stockroom/Stores Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.  This position requires experience in stockroom or material services related functions, primarily in the aviation services industry.  This person must be knowledgeable in aviation terminology, parts, tools and processes, and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs used by the company. While the position is based in Sanford, Florida, the Aviation Stockroom/Stores Supervisor is also responsible for our Lakeland location and will travel to that location once or twice per month.

Duties:

• Organize and analyze activities concerning the use of tooling for maintenance functions
• Oversee allocated inventory and/or tooling at all locations
• Coordinate specialized tooling request activities to support aircraft and for all maintenance requirements.
• Research specialized equipment as identified for any maintenance checks to ensure all specialized equipment will lead times will be available to accomplish the maintenance tasks
• Respond to all audit findings and questions related to the stockroom and tooling.
• Administer company policies and procedures, establish department goals and plans, maintain standards and personnel qualifications that will assure a well-planned, efficient, and economical Stores operation.
• Liaison as needed between the outside vendors and the company.
• Ensure that all purchase orders are received and items distributed in a timely manner
• Track and coordinate any warranty issues with suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare and submit monthly calibrated tool status and shelf-life reports.
• Perform additional duties as may be assigned.
• Liaison with planning department to ensure all materials and tooling requirements are met for production schedules.
• Track and control calibrated tooling for calibration requirements and serviceability.
• Track and control shelf life material stored within the aviation material inventory.
• Demonstrate compliance with RSM and FAA regulations with regards to stockroom and inventory during FAA or customer audits.
• Maintain strict cost control of inventory material.
• Establish a current and verifiable inventory of material for use during maintenance operations.
• Arrange and plan for yearly audits of stockroom inventory
• Control and manage hazardous materials within the company inventory
• Seek and identify new vendor options for purchasing of products and services required for inventory.

The Aviation Stockroom/Stores Supervisor may delegate duties to any qualified individual as necessary.  Delegation does not relieve the Aviation Stockroom/Stores Supervisor of the responsibilities of the position.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English at full professional proficiency
• Ability to travel to Lakeland facility as needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Attention to detail – the ability to create and review complex schedules with accuracy
• Strong communication skills
• Effective time management
• Knowledgeable in aviation terminology
• Knowledgeable in aviation parts, tools and materials
• Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Systems preferred
• Familiarity with ERP software preferred
• Strong leadership skills to oversee and manage personnel within the department
• Knowledgeable in supply chain management
