Mission description
Summary: Provide production planning and procurement support for the repair station activities while ensuring material needs are met in order to execute the operational plan and objectives of the business unit. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure collaboration and communication with Operations and Customer Service regarding concerns with material/component availability, equipment failures, and customer demands that affect the attainment of the repair schedule. Allocate materials per the strategy of the business unit's operational objectives in order to meet the customer's TAT. Coordinate interdepartmental activities with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Shipping/Receiving and Customer Services. Analyze material shortage conditions, follow up with supply chain and recommend corrective actions daily. Ensure timely execution of all material allocations in SAP to facilitate proper product movement throughout the supply chain. Entry of material requirements into the ERP based on technician inputs. Identify savings opportunities by searching for used parts in the inventory of installed in house-owned units. Monitor progress of maintenance and/or manufacturing jobs routed through the workshops through the ERP and with the production manager (s). Monitoring of parts inventory levels in the ERP. Maintain paper and electronic files of MRO and/or manufacturing jobs per QMS requirements. Issue parts pick tickets from the ERP. Make timely status updates to the internal or external customer and leadership. Research and procure (if required and assigned) MRO parts. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years' experience in planning. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with individuals/teams at all levels of the organization. Ability and willingness to work at desk/office environment and/or in a shop floor environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing multiple accounts and tasks concurrently. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications. Experience optimizing schedule, cost, and quality constraints. Experience with SAP or another integrated enterprise resource program (ERP) to work inside the ERP environment for much of the day. Additional Information: Attention to detail. Proven problem resolution skills and resourcefulness. Proven excellent reasoning and strong decision making skills. Exceptional ability to stay organized while multi-tasking. Physical Demands: Stationary 80% / Mobility 20% Work Environment: The work environment is an office setting with moderate office noise.
