We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of our products, from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process from start to finish, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is a hands-on, full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinated product line production
- Requires knowledge of all products and their operating characteristics, plant layout, production capacity of each department, plant procedures and practices and quality standards
- Manage and maintain production systems, including MRP systems, to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues
- Confers with department heads regarding availability of raw materials, maintenance of plant and equipment, product quality control, related production records, labor and material costs and other factors, to insure that operating cost are held at budgeted level
- Prepares reports to management on production efficiency and work completion dates
- Consults with other plant executives to analyze economic trends, sales forecasts and marketing and distribution problems so as to plan production schedules accordingly
- Supervises employees who have moderate to high degree of skill, job experience, and training in machine shop procedure, practices and techniques. Manages and documents attendance, performance and other personnel issues within the department
- Responsible for maintaining a level of manpower consistent with the business plan
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Five plus (5 ) years of manufacturing experience
- Proven experience in production management
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with MRP systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Experience with inventory management and order fulfillment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
