Aeroflow Health- Credentialing Specialist
Hybrid Opportunity - Asheville, NC Office
Salary: Starting at $46,000
The Credentialing Specialist plays an important role in ensuring continued services are available with payors by completing and submitting all necessary documentation in a timely fashion. The Credentialing Specialist reports to the Credentialing Manager & Paralegal and works closely with the Corporate Development, Compliance and Legal teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages and processes all government (Medicaid) and commercial credentialing and revalidation applications for Aeroflow Inc. and its subsidiaries
- Proactively communicates with payors regarding credentialing status and requirements
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive data for credentialing responses
- Works interdepartmentally to support the Corporate Development department’s contracting and compliance
- efforts through credentialing
- Obtains and submits insurance certificates, surety bonds, accreditation certificates, etc.
- Creates and processes attestations, provider directory verifications, rosters
- Processes license renewals specific to provider enrollment
- Completes and submits CHOW information and other unique updates
- Maintains digital files and credentialing submissions
- Processes hard copy payor communications received in-office
- Maintains copies of in-office licenses and certificates
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
- Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
- Other job duties assigned
Required Qualifications
- Organized self-starter with superior project management skills
- Excellent logical reasoning and analytical ability
- Marked attention to detail
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Office and Google Suite computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software
- Willingness to learn
- Demonstrated integrity and ethics, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
- Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
- You might also have
- An administrative background
- Some knowledge of healthcare credentialing is highly desirable
