Aeronautical Systems Engineering (ASE), Inc. designs and manufactures flight simulators for commercial and military customers. ASE has an established 20 year history delivering aggressive and innovative solutions to customer aircraft training requirements. ASE is currently accepting applications for simulator technician positions.

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills and operation of basic hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, crimpers, punches)
  • Basic knowledge of digital, analog and power circuitry
  • Basic troubleshooting skills, both technical and electrical
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, electrical drawings, parts lists, wire lists and system prints
  • Lift up to 50lbs with assistance and work in tight locations
  • Work both independently and in a team environment as needed
  • Must be flexible to work all required shifts and travel, including international travel, as needed
  • Must have strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Asks probing questions to gather relevant information on routine and complex calls and uses effective listening skills to develop an understanding of customer questions or issues
  • Use of electronic test equipment, including but not limited to meters and oscilloscopes
  • Experience with soldering and light mechanical assembly of components a plus
  • Solid technical skills, computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft products are big pluses

Job Functions:

  • Assemble/Install, test, troubleshoot and repair simulator wiring, mechanical and electromechanical assemblies and systems in tight locations within the simulator
  • Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices
  • Perform necessary tests per specific instructions and/or reference documentation
  • Assist engineers with system commissioning
  • Support simulator certifications
  • Generate discrepancy and status reports and correct discrepancies in a timely fashion
  • Provide maintenance and technical support for simulators in training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • Avionics or Simulation: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Flight Simulator: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Airframe & Powerplant License (Preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Odessa, FL 33556 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Odessa, FL 33556: Relocate before starting work (Required)
