Job Title : Director of Space Business Development
Job Description :
Director of Space Business Development for a Denver based business specializing in advanced space electronics. Business is comprised of approximately 20 established engineers with experience in full life cycle development of Software Defined Radios (SDRs), Co-processors, advanced ESA antennas, and waveform development. Supporting space based SIGINT and / or Comms missions using A-PNT and advanced TAFS (timing and frequency synchronization) capabilities. You will play a critical role in expanding opportunities for technical innovation and advancement associated with commercial and government contracts. You are empowered to expand our mission support for both DoD and IC customers. Your primary responsibilities will focus on business development and strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure the successful expansion in current and potential customers. You will work closely with the Director of Space Systems to drive identification and capture of relevant opportutinities. Business success will be measured through growth, customer expansion, and meeting or exceeding financial goals (awards, revenue, profit / EBITDA).
Key Responsibilities :
Work closely with ATG strategy team to develop and execute a strategic plan to drive growth.
Leverage existing customer contacts to expand current market and / or into new market adjacencies.Build new potential customer relationships to expand addressable market opportunities.Support conferences, consortiums, and trade shows as required.Build a strong pipeline of opportunities using the Salesforce CRM tool.Meet or exceed Awards / Orders targets established for AOPRegulatory ComplianceEnsure all programs comply with FAR regulations and other relevant federal guidelines when required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAR and related regulatory changes, advising teams on compliance requirements.Prepare and review documentation to support compliance and audit activities.Understand ITAR and EAR complianceComply with all security requirements for successful protection of company IP.Stakeholder Engagement :Serve as the primary point of BD contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
Facilitate regular communication and BD reporting to stakeholders on opportunities status, risks, and issues.Foster strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and support.Financial Management :Oversee business development budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met working closely with finance function.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in business development.Qualifications :
At least 15 years of experience in aerospace and defense, with strong business development experience in capturing space hardware and software payloads with holding strong USG customer relationships.Prefer existing relationships with SDA, NRO, SOCOM, USSF
Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM related field;Fundamental understanding of space hardware and software development and deployment.Experience with extensive DoD / IC / Space relationships and credibility.Understanding of change management, risk management, and FAR based contract execution.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must be U.S. citizenAbility to attain and maintain a TS security clearance, prefer TS cleared already.Working Conditions :
