AEROPRES CORPORATION is an innovative national manufacturer of environmentally friendly aerosol propellants with over 50 years in business. Our products are used in numerous industries and applications including cleaning products and disinfectants. We are in search of a talented individual to join our team as Quality Systems Director inShreveport, Louisiana.
Job Summary:
The Quality Systems Director is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the organization’s quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining product quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting business growth through the implementation and management of robust quality frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement the organization's quality systems strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Assist the technical services team to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
2. Quality Management Systems (QMS):
- Maintain and improve the organization’s QMS, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, cGMP regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Oversee internal and external audits, including supplier audits, and ensure timely resolution of findings.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure products and processes comply with regulatory requirements, including documentation, reporting, and validation.
- Keep the organization informed and compliant with evolving regulations and industry standards.
4. Process Improvement:
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive initiatives that reduce defects, improve product quality and enhance operational efficiency.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain, to align quality objectives with operational goals.
6. Risk Management:
- Lead risk assessment activities to identify and mitigate potential quality and compliance issues.
- Establish and monitor corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
7. Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff understand and comply with quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in quality systems management, with at least 2.5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP, FDA, or other relevant standards.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in quality management tools and software.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present complex information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma or Lean certification.
- Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or aerospace.
