Aerothreads is actively seeking a
CAD Designer
to join our Thermal Blanket Design Team, supporting our customers in the rapidly growing aerospace industry.
The successful Aerothreads
CAD Designer
candidate will be primarily responsible for developing 3D thermal blanket CAD coverage models and technical drawings in Creo, using customer furnished flight article CAD models as the basis for design. The successful candidate for this role will have previous experience deriving requirements from client-provided project specifications and aerospace industry MLI standards.
Job Description : Develop 3D CAD coverage models and technical drawings in CreoUpkeep CAD revision control systemCommunicate directly with clients for technical exchangesAssist in creating client design presentationsCommunicate and present features of own designs clearly and accurately to clients during meetingsKeep record of client design change requestsReach design solutions collaborativelyImplement both client feedback and team feedback in designs on a constant basisEnsure pattern manufacturability by making basic paper mockups as neededTake initiative to achieve best results, by asking questions, improving own design process, and revisiting past projects and solutions.
Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringExperience in aerospace HIGHLY preferredExperience working with Creo CAD SoftwareExperience using CAD in a product manufacturing environment, with a focus on manufacturability and quality controlExperience deriving requirements from client-provided project specificationsExperience flat patterning preferredDetail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to work as a part of a highly collaborative fast-paced teamUS Citizen
