What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at Aerotronics LLC?
INVENTORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Organize current inventory using software program. WASP software experience is a plus.
· Determine amount of inventory that is necessary to stock, based on production needs
· Develop a system to maintain inventory.
· Develop a system to maintain “Non-Conforming” documentation and keep these parts in separate area so as not to get confused with conforming parts.
· Develop a system to enable all employees to alert Inventory Control when supplies are low.
· Work with purchasing to order parts.
· Kitting: When an assembly technician is to start work on an order, consult proper documentation and gather all parts needed for the build and prepare the kits. Document, bag, and box items for kits.
· Receive incoming shipments into inventory
- Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures
- Maintaining inventory storage space in the store’s warehouse
- Planing store warehouse space usage
- Placing inventory restock orders
- Communicating with store management about any inventory issues
- Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment
· Packing and shipping
· To maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures
PORTER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support Shop Supervisor by helping with administrative tasks and solving problems.
· Support Assembly Technicians and other workers in the shop by helping in any way necessary.
· Run errands
· All other duties as assigned
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the field
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software
- Able to work weekends on occasion
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with inventory control software helpful but not required.
- 3-5 year minimum work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of inventory control principals, and physical inventory protocols.
