AESC US, LLC, is committed to the research, development, design, manufacture, and sales of high-power batteries for electrical vehicles (EVs) and energy storage, has the following open degreed/experienced position(s) available in Smyrna, TN:

Senior Manager, Process Engineering

DUTIES:

Promote a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines. Manage major and minor model manufacturing plan development and execution, including trials and launch of new equipment and tooling; confirm new and minor model program requirements; ensure requirements for quality, delivery, cost, and safety are met; address production to ensure countermeasures are made in a timely manner; ensure program targets are met at each trial or development stage. Manage and lead the development of budgets for new model programs and ensures adherence to the approved budgets once programs are contracted. Responsible for development and achievement of plant goals and objectives as they pertain to quality, cost, delivery, and safety. Maintain a positive employee relations environment. Establish and monitor quality performance to cost budgets, including scrap, labor, and expense within Engineering team. Implement proper measures to continually reduce costs. Ensure continuous cooperation with operations departments regarding investigations and resolutions of chronic or severe in-plant quality problems. Lead a group of engineering managers responsible for process engineering teams. Establish and monitor quality performance within the department. Uses good problem-solving techniques to identify root cause. Implements actions to eliminate further occurrences. Administer shop floor management systems to ensure compliance and increase customer satisfaction. Monitor safety performance daily and facilitates implementation of action to improve safety performance. Proactive in identify and address safety concerns before an accident occurs. Identify potential improvements and implements new department processes, systems, and tracking processes to achieve departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Coordinate with AESC engineering and design groups to implement changes in battery or parts design; develops processes and plans to improve efficiency. Support manufacturing as required to meet aforementioned goals with continuous process improvements; provides direction to manufacturing regarding manpower utilization and efficiency, and ergonomics. Provides direction and responsibilities for employees centered on training, objectives, development of standards within the job function, and New Model plant preparation. Oversee the greenfield project for plant setup, equipment installation, trials, and launch of production.

Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years of manager-level experience, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development.
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience reading and understanding engineering blueprints, engineering change notices, work instructions, procedures, routers, and GD&T.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience performing Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFEMA).
  • Five (5) years of manager-level experience working in a manufacturing industry, gaining manufacturing knowledge.
  • Five (5) years of manager-level experience working in a highly technical automotive-related manufacturing environment.
  • One (1) years of professional experience with AutoCAD.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience budgeting for and managing major and minor model manufacturing plan development and execution.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience working in automation and robotics performing hands-on and managerial tasks.
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience setting and tracking departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with New Model plant preparation.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience with IATF16949 quality standards.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience with Environmental Health Standards (EHS).

Will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field and ten (10) years of progressive experience in a related occupation/position/job title.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Telecommuting permitted. Domestic and International Travel may be required up to 30%. Travel expenses paid by employer.

40 hours/week ;$167,981.00 - $190,800.22/year

Salary : $167,981 - $190,800
