ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for a Supply Planner to focus on Inventory Management, Sales & Operations planning and Risk Mitigation to drive forward our goals in the supply planning function. This will include both short-term and medium-term horizon planning through excellent proactive communication and relationship building to help us effectively collaborate, maximize our service level and optimize our stock holding.
As a Supply Planner you will be at the center of inventory and availability planning and will be instrumental in ensuring we meet our customer’s expectations. You will be collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including Logistics and Operations, Commercial, Demand Planning, Merchandise Planning, Regional Distribution Centers, and Global Supply Chain teams. You will also be involved in change management including planning/exposure into network changes and tool upgrades taking place within the next 12 months.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Anticipate potential issues by comparing demand with supply in the short and medium term.
Provide a 12-month supply plan to global supply planning of the region’s forward requirements, whilst optimizing safety stock and inventory targets.
Influences decision making in performance improvement, troubleshoot and resolve obstacles.
Communicate actively with global supply planning team to prevent out of stock risks from occurring and to recover from supply issues as soon as possible.
Facilitate/lead monthly meetings with stakeholders such as GM, Sales, Marketing and Finance to review risks in a timely and accurate way with action plan.
Work alongside wholesale teams to manage through the supply of large customer demands in the most effective way.
Root cause analysis of shortages with recommendation of appropriate action to ensure we learn from every issue.
Manage kitting and VAS (value added services) with the Distribution Centre to ensure visibility of capacity and resource planning.
Facilitate several different meetings including SO&P, Aged Inventory, Weekly Risk Review Meetings plus more.
Reporting
Generate and distribute the following reports on a weekly basis:
Service Level Reporting
Out of stocks / low stocks
Wastage report
Aged and excess stock
Review and resolve daily 3PL adjustments
Generate necessary monthly reports including S&OP deck
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A customer-centric mindset (both internal and external), with experience in Supply Chain Planning
Ability to build strong relationships with and influence internal stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Sales and operations teams)
Ability to reach mutually acceptable solutions to complex problems which arise; level-headed, able to manage and resolve issues under pressure.
Experience with S&OP and/or IBP a huge positive
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Resilience and ability to work in a fast moving ever changing, demanding environment.
Strong prioritization skills and communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience in presenting and adapting communication style.
Ability to challenge ways of working and seek out ways to continuously improve.
Ideally has Retail or FMCG experience
