The Vice President of Product Management is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the delivery and sustainment of a diverse set of unmanned systems product lines for US and Partner forces. This position reports to the VP, Unmanned Systems Products Division and oversees the product lifecycle of a portfolio of unmanned systems and support products. Each portfolio is a cross-functional teams of program managers, engineers, and other experts managing the technical and programmatic baselines, introduction of new features, and future development efforts derived from customer engagements and corporate Growth objectives. This position has a revenue growth target associated with it.
This individual will work in collaboration with Production, and Research and Development (R&D) functions to ensures products meet market demands while delivering exceptional quality and value to customers. They will be responsible for developing, managing and growing a team of Product Managers that work across diverse portfolios and customer sets from rapid development of bespoke customer driven solutions to long term development and sustainment efforts that address enduring DoD unmanned systems requirements.
The VP of Product Management will lead and manage the agile development processes within Unmanned Products, managing the tools, processes and people needed to rapidly deliver quality systems to our customers that are readily adaptable to real world scenarios. This position plays a critical role in supporting the company's competitive position in the market by meeting delivery schedules and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
- Prioritize and execute the product roadmaps that ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Establish, oversee, and monitor best practices for product management processes and tools.
- Build strong partnerships with research and develop, production, Growth, finance and contracting.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Manage in coordination with R&D and Growth, go-to-market strategies, ensuring timely and successful product launches.
- Monitor and measure product performance using data-driven insights to inform future decisions.
- Communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry experts.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Align and manage product investments to product roadmaps. Track and update portfolio revenue projections.
- In coordination with R&D stay ahead of industry trends, identifying emerging opportunities and potential disruptions.
- Synchronize and manage common technical attributes and components across portfolios.
- Oversee resource allocations across portfolios.
- Perform other duties as required.
