Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, onsite position working the ATW, M-TH 6:30am to 5:00pm with the opportunity for OT based on project needs.
Job Overview
As an Airframe Structures Technician at AEVEX Aerospace, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our aircraft. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting the maintenance, repair, and modification of various aircraft structures, including wings, fuselages, and other critical components. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Essential Functions
- Supervise repairs to fuselage, wings, nacelles, flight control surfaces, engine cowlings, and fuel cell/tank maintenance
- Lead a team to modify, repair, assemble, fabrication of structural components and aircraft parts installations
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and support staff to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Instruct others to interpret engineer drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Collaborate with engineering to problem solve troubled situations
- Assess corrosion and fatigue damage to aircraft structures
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including repair logs, and company documents in accordance with policy and procedures
- Work in close coordination with program supervisors to ensure work is performed within scheduled time frame
- Follows all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment
- Ensures that all work is done efficiently and adheres to aviation safety regulations and industry best practice
- Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations

Qualifications and Competencies
- Expert knowledge of specialized tools and equipment for maintenance and or manufacturing of aircraft
- Ability to effectively research OEM, MM, SRM and company repair drawings
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and diagnose structural issues
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and critical-thinking skills
- Strong ability to manage effectively and collaborate with cross-functionally
- Proven aptitude to lead by example.
- Experience leading a team of 3 to 5 people on a single project
- Strong work ethic and integrity
Education / Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 8 years previous aircraft repair station experience including aircraft manufacturing
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) schooling/license or military aircraft experience a plus
- Understanding of FAA regulations and compliance requirements
