Job Overview
Designs, develops, and implements radio frequency (RF) propagation models for wireless communication systems. Utilizes advanced software tools and simulation techniques to analyze and optimize RF coverage, capacity, and performance.
Essential Functions
Generate 2D and 3D RF propagation models using COTs, GOTs, and custom software applications that employ established propagation algorithms and industry best practices, including methods that model RF energy diffraction, refraction, and reflection and take into account landscape and surface material types to assess how different frequencies interact with the physical environment
Ensure the veracity and validity of these models and their inputs is documented and understood by non-SMEs
Convert RF models into established geospatial formats on the Sponsor's enclave to guide engineering and operational decisions
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Competencies
Proficiency in RF simulation tools
Strong programming skills
Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) for geospatial RF modeling.
Ability to interpret drive test data and optimize network parameters.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Education / Certifications
BS degree or higher in RF engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience
5 years' experience performing RF propagation modeling
Experience working in multidisciplinary technical and engineering teams
