This a 12-month, hands-on trainee program offering participants the opportunity to learn about different areas of the business, participate day-to-day in assigned responsibilities and projects and develop professional relationships, while also receiving training and mentorship from the AEW Team.

Main Purpose of the Role
The following are the main responsibilities for the Acquisitions Analyst Trainee.
Responsibilities
- Support investment professionals in underwriting, evaluating, originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing real estate transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures, developments, and debt investments.
- Primary responsibilities include creation and maintenance of acquisition evaluation models; detailed evaluation of allocated investments, detailed real estate, corporate finance/credit, economic, demographic, and capital markets due diligence; and preparation of investment summaries.
- In addition, this candidate will have responsibilities for managing the underwriting and closing process, which will require significant interaction with internal and external constituents.
Skills/Experience
- BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or similar quantitative focus required.
- Experience in real estate, finance, accounting, financial modeling and/or general investment, which can include applicable internships.
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting fundamentals is essential.
- Proficiency with Excel as well as general quantitative skills a must.
- Strong written and oral communications skills are required.
- Individuals must be able to work cooperatively and effectively as a member of a team.
- Individuals should be aggressive self-starters, willing and able to maintain high levels of accuracy, energy, productivity, and effectiveness for lengthy periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize will be frequently tested.
Compensation
At AEW, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The base pay for this role is between $60,000 and $70,000 per year. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Additional compensation and perks include:
