Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Family Assistant/Babysitter to provide high-quality care for our family including three young children. This hands-on role encompasses daily light housekeeping as well as attending to various personal and household needs for the family. The FA/B will oversee day-to-day tasks and ensure the smooth execution of both planned and real-time requests. The role requires a trustworthy, professional, and adaptable individual with a strong sense of loyalty, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to handle varying daily duties.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, clean, and stimulating environment for children of various ages. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in caregiving but also enthusiastic about educational activities, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean space for the family.
The FA/B will maintain the family's home according to their high standards, utilizing a keen sense of discretion and attention to detail. Responsibilities extend beyond traditional housekeeping, as the role involves organizing the household, running errands, preparing for special events and travel, among other personal support duties. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to "read the room," intuitively understanding and anticipating the Family’s needs and navigating their daily routines to be of maximum assistance.
Duties
- Provide attentive and loving care for children, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks, as needed/requested.
- Run errands as needed.
- Assist with daily routines such as dressing and diaper changes for infants.
- Engage in playtime and recreational activities that are age-appropriate.
- Light housekeeping.
- Communicate effectively with parents and children.
- Home organization.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in babysitting or nannying is required.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals and prepare snacks.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both children and parents effectively.
- A patient, nurturing demeanor with a passion for working with children.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the agreed-upon schedule.
- Must be positive and self-motivated exemplifying high degree of integrity.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
