What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Practice Providers (NP, PA, FNP) position at AFC Urgent Care Denver?

Position: Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP)--Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Overview: AFC Urgent Care Denver is always seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers with a minimum of 6 months clinical work experience. Candidates should have a strong bedside manner, enjoy patient interaction, and be able to work independently with a focus on patient care.

Pay Range: $134,000-$165,000, with a competitive bonus structure based on performance, including shift differentials for weekend work. The first 3 months offer 100% of bonus achievement.

Responsibilities:

- Function autonomously during solo shifts with ability to consult fellow providers and lead physicians as needed

- Provide patient-centric, evidence-based care for both adult and pediatric patients.

- Interpret and respond promptly to EKGs, X-rays, and lab results.

- Perform bedside procedures such as laceration repairs, I&Ds, foreign body removals, and joint injections/aspirations.

- Obtain DOT certification within 3 months.

- Efficiently manage high patient volume.

- Communicate effectively with clinic supervisors, medical assistants, and technicians.

- Work two full weekends per month (required for full-time providers) and some holidays.

- Be available to work at multiple clinic locations.

- Maintain high patient satisfaction and garner positive social media reviews.

Leadership Opportunities:

- Guide new APPs in peer mentor program to adapt to company culture.

- Guide potential provider candidates.

- Sign up to be a specialist in certain areas of clinical practice and education.

- Address and resolve patient complaints with clinic staff.

- Receptive to new services, quality-improvement projects and clinic protocols.

- Work closely with lead physicians and the Medical Director to adapt to company changes.

Qualifications:

- Medical/Master’s degree with certification.

- Current, unrestricted Colorado medical license.

- Unrestricted Colorado DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.

- BLS or ACLS certification.

- Experience in ER, urgent care, or fast-paced primary care.
