In this role, you will manage the day-to day administrative tasks and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings who is comfortable multitasking and handling patient interactions efficiently.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner ensuring an outstanding first impression.
- Handle incoming calls, promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records by documenting patient information and updating files as necessary, while maintaining confidentiality standards.
- Assist with insurance verification and medical collection processes.
- Collect and process copays, deductibles and outstanding balances.
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is available prior to appointments.
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to facilitate efficient care delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a clinic setting is preferred.
- Understanding of insurance plans and packages (HMO, PPO, Medicare Supplements)
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation practices.
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry; experience with EMR/EHR is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Medical billing experience.
- Familiarity with Urgent Care or Outpatient settings.

Expected hours: 36.00 – 40.00 per week
