A West Allis based small law firm seeks a part-time office assistant/receptionist to join our team. The position offers flexible hours (14-20 hours) per week. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility is to represent the firm in a polite, professional, and courteous manner at all times. Ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and writing skills, experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and a pleasant phone personality. The person should also have strong administrative and organizational skills and a commitment to helping others.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Answer all incoming calls and transfer to appropriate person or take messages.
*Greet and welcome all clients
*Scheduling appointments
*Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the reception area and conference rooms
*Assist with file opening and file closing and other docketing related work
*Preparing and sending correspondence on cases
*Interacting with third parties to obtain information on cases
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*At least one year in customer service role
*Law reception experience preferred, but not required
*Experience managing multiple projects at once
*High attention to detail
*Ability to operate general office equipment
*Knowledge of phone lines
*Demonstration of effective oral and written communications skills
*Ability to type at a minimum of 60 words per minute
*Transcribe dictation
*Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
