Region Director

Position: Region Director
Position Summary: The Region Director leads by example, demonstrating the ability to manage a region effectively and mentor Caregivers. This role is essential in building a highly engaged, caring, and quality team, ensuring every senior within the geographic region has access to services and can live with dignity and respect in the community.
Reports to: Operations Specialist
A) Professional Responsibilities / Outcomes:
1. Direct Care Hours:
- Provide direct care hours in the community each week.
- Provide services according to individualized care plans.
- Observe staff performance.
- Engage in informal conversations with clients to gain insights into their experiences.
- Assess clients’ status and address any unmet needs.
2. Region Operation and Leadership:
- Maintain stable operations through solid leadership and 24/7 on-call availability.
- Ensure all staff are fully trained on emergency procedures and notification guidelines.
3. Professional Communication:
- Maintain a positive and professional approach to all written and oral communications.
4. Staffing and Team Building:
- Continuously interview and hire to ensure proper coverage without overtime.
- Maintain and update job postings.
- Complete new hire paperwork and upload to electronic records.
- Submit wage requests to the DOO.
- Mentor staff with potential for advancement.
5. Supervision and Evaluation:
- Provide regular supervision and evaluations to Caregivers.
6. Scheduling:
- Complete and release staff schedules no later than Thursday of the preceding week.
- Aim for consistent monthly scheduling.
7. Overtime Management:
- Reduce overtime to less than 16 hours per week.
- Maintain an up-to-date employee availability list for planned and unplanned shift coverage needs.
8. Hospitalization and Rehab Placement:
- Prevent unnecessary hospitalization and SNF/Rehab placements.
- Follow up on clients’ hospitalizations and coordinate their return home.
9. Quality Improvement:
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Review and correct documentation as necessary.
- Monitor staff clock-ins and clock-outs for payroll accuracy.
10. Admission and Home Opening Processes:
- Participate in admission and home opening processes as directed.
11. Additional Duties:
- Update care plans annually or as needed.
- Coordinate client appointments.
- Ensure quality meal plans, menus, and activities.
- Participate in plans of correction as directed.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
