Our client, an EPC and Field Solutions company, is looking for a Project Manager to provide direction and management support to project teams during the execution of projects (siting, permitting and associated field surveys) and assist in the strategy surrounding business development. In this role you will report to the Vice President of Environmental Services and be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of complex and/or large projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. This is a client facing role.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface between the project team and the client representative.
  • Create, execute and revise project execution plans as required to meet client requirements and project metrics.
  • Identify resources needed and manages team responsibilities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects.
  • Ensure that all deliverables have been reviewed, approved and signed off prior to issue to the client.
  • Ensure the project team follows the Audubon standards and procedures.
  • Review project transactions and reporting any discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Review and approve invoices within a 48hr. turnaround.
  • Maintaining the resource planning on assigned projects.
  • Manage the project budget and schedule.
  • Remain completely accessible to client during the life of project and provide single point of contact, ensuring specific requests are process timely and appropriately.
  • Mentor a Project Management Team of other, more junior Project Managers and/or Environmental Scientists/Planners.
  • Drive Management of Change philosophy and enforces corresponding procedures.
  • Serve as the champion for safety and quality on the project.
  • Review and provide final approval to all subcontractors’ contracts and invoices.
  • Manage the overall execution of projects.
  • Possess a detailed understanding of and executes the sales / BD process.
  • Understand the relationship between multi-discipline deliverable packages - including procurement and construction activities.
  • Acknowledge and appreciate each team member's contributions.
  • Effectively utilize each team member to their fullest potential.
  • Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner.
  • Keep track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members and peers.
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Lead and/or act as a member of internal teams/task forces.
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency, and utilization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Ecology preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years industry related experience as a Project Manager required.
  • Experience in a customer facing environment preferred.
  • Working scheduling techniques and software.
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
