Description
The Company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will serve as a point of contact for the HR department and provide a variety of human resources duties, including onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management. This position ensures that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. This position will report to the HR Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for leadership positions, including developing job descriptions, posting job openings and onboarding new employees.
- Train and guide leadership in recruitment and interviewing process.
- Develop and maintain an effective recruitment strategy to attract top talent.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees on HR-related matters.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues.
- Promote a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
Training & Development:
- Coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives.
- Identify training needs and assist with creating or sourcing relevant learning materials.
- Support leadership development programs and track employee progress.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Assist with administering employee benefits programs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current compensation trends and benefits packages.
- Help employees with benefit enrollment, claims, and eligibility questions.
Performance Management:
- Support the performance review process, including tracking and reviewing employee performance.
- Provide feedback and assist managers in setting clear performance expectations.
- Recommend and help implement improvements to performance management processes.
Compliance & Legal:
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on employment laws, policies, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper documentation for legal compliance.
HR Administration:
- Maintain and update employee records, HR files, and databases.
- Prepare HR reports as requested by management.
- Assist with HR-related audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3 years) as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems.
