Position Summary:
The Director of Leadership and Talent Development is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing corporate training and development programs that align with the company's objectives and strategy. This role ensures that leaders at all levels are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive and lead effectively, while driving employee engagement and organizational success.
What you will do:
Training and Development Strategy
- Develop and oversee leadership development strategies and programs that align with the organization's strategic goals, enhancing management capabilities across the workforce
- Design frameworks to cultivate essential skills and leadership competencies for both immediate and long-term organizational needs
- Assess ongoing and future training and development needs in collaboration with functional management teams
- Evaluate the effectiveness of established training and development programs, recommending improvements to ensure continuous development and impact
- Ensure that development programs and activities emphasize leading and managing within the AffirmedRx-specific context, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure content and initiatives are relevant for all employees and aligned with the organization's healthcare and business objectives
- Create and maintain onboarding guides tailored for different management levels (Manager, Director, Vice President) to support both internal promotions and external hiring
- Develop a program delivery schedule to ensure training is available when needed for a remote based organization
- Design, update, and oversee a robust mentorship program to foster leadership growth and employee engagement
- Craft and deliver engaging communications to highlight the value and benefits of training programs, encouraging participation across the organization
- Introduce and implement new training techniques and refine improvements to current training initiatives
- Maintain relationships with external learning systems, such as Relias, to offer additional and enhanced training resources
- Design, update, and oversee a sustainable sabbatical program to cultivate a culture of well-being, personal growth, and creativity
- Identify and/or coordinate initiatives in conjunction with the Human Resources Leadership Team to continually position AffirmedRx as the employer of choice
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational/Leadership Development, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in leadership development, training, or a related discipline
- Proven expertise in designing and managing leadership and training programs at a corporate level
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience working with external learning systems or platforms (e.g., Relias)
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 20%)
