This role is Hybrid and requires 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), based conveniently in Midtown near the Empire State Building.
The Opportunity :
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing organization at a pivotal moment. As the VP of Sales & Merchandising, you will lead the company’s business development and product strategy, working closely with the design team to align market needs with creative vision. This includes driving sales strategy across all full-price wholesale channels, optimizing both sell-in and sell-out performance, and developing and executing merchandising strategies that enhance brand positioning and commercial success.
With a focus on delivering exceptional results, this position offers the chance to shape the company’s sales vision and align it with broader business goals.
What you’ll get to do :
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop & oversee sell-in strategies to key accounts, ensuring optimal product placement and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives
- Monitor and analyze sell-out performance to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue potential
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including buyers and decision-makers at major luxury and accessible luxury retailers such as : Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Dillard’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks, etc.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our market reach.
- Implement strong plans to constantly accelerate productivity
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts, brand positioning, and promotional strategies
- Collaborate with the design team to craft and execute merchandising strategies that align with market trends, consumer insights, and business analytics.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Collaborate with the design and product development teams to create innovative and marketable product assortments.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock turns and minimize markdowns.
- Oversee the planning and execution of seasonal and replenishment merchandising plans.
- Own the sales P&L, ensuring budget alignment and achievement of financial targets.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and reporting to track progress and inform decision-making
- Optimize sales operations, including inventory management, pricing strategies, margin, and promotional planning
