What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHERS GRADES 9-12 position at Affton High School?
DETAILS:
- All positions are subject to adequate enrollment and are temporary summer positions
- No fringe benefits
- Program location: Affton High School
- Positions needed may include credit recovery in English-Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies as well as credit recovery and credit advancement in Health, Physical Education, Personal Finance and other electives
- Summer School employment is a commitment to work all days in the program
Time Frame
Tentative program dates for credit recovery and advancement:
Session 1 -> June 9 – June 20, 2025 (No School June 19th)
Session 2 -> June 23 – July 3, 2025
Program for Grades 9-12: 18 total days (Total stipend is $1,960.00 for 1 session or $3,920 for 2 sessions)
Grades 9-12 will be in session Monday - Friday, 6.67 hours/day ( 20 min. lunch)
Teachers work Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day ( 20 min. duty free lunch)
Position also works equivalent of 1 day, for pre/post program for each session
Juneteenth on June 19th is a non-work/school day
Dates may be adjusted by administration as needed
9-12 Summer School pay date TBD
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and appropriate Missouri teaching certification required
