Responsibilities & Requirements:
As a successful Sales Account Manager at AFG Distribution, the ideal candidate will enjoy working with a fun, competitive team for B2B sales within the alternative industry. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for building and strengthening existing relationships and generating new business. You will work closely with our sales team to identify potential clients, develop sales strategies, & close deals. This is an essential role and you will be the face of the company and responsible for the continued success of AFG. This includes:
- Build relationships and provide telephone sales/customer service expertise for a large base of existing customers.
- Actively search for, and continually develop and close new business, and successful cold-calling experience preferred.
- Participate as a collaborative member of a sales team and sales territory while exhibiting strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proven self-starter with a motivated attitude to grow professionally.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload across multiple simultaneous tasks, in a fast-paced work environment, while ensuring delivery of high-quality work and meeting timelines.
- Appreciation of deadlines and commitment to follow-up is essential.
- Provide customer feedback and industry information to sales management.
- Attend sales and product training as required.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
Knowledge of basic and advanced customer service procedures is a must, and being able to exhibit a history of self-discipline, and the ability to work with minimal supervision which means being highly organized is essential. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, HS diploma with sales experience.
- 2yrs business to business sales experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace & Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Netsuite and Alternative Accessories is a plus but not required.
- Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from Asheville, NC or moving to the area prior to starting employment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel for trade events or client meetings if needed.
- Base salary based upon experience.

Job Type and Compensation: Full-time Starting at $22/hour plus commission
Schedule & Location: 8 hour shift in Office.
