Scheduling Coordinator/Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing schedules, coordinating logistics, and ensuring efficient transportation management. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a knack for data entry, allowing them to effectively analyze and manage scheduling needs.

Duties

• Responsible for the planning and scheduling of pick-up/drop-off of clients, meet customer demands, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Utilize transportation management systems to optimize routing and scheduling.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform data entry tasks related to scheduling and logistics management.
• Identify if there are areas that need improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules and scheduling changes.
• Ensure schedules comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Uphold professional phone etiquette while handling inquiries and coordinating schedules.

Skills

• Proficiency in transportation management systems, including MTM.
• Strong phone etiquette for effective communication with clients and vendors.
• Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze logistical processes and recommend improvements.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with freight operations is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.35 - $16.36 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
