Job Summary:
The Content and Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing content and communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally. Key Responsibilities:
Content Management
- Manage internal and external content production with key team members, departments,clients, and vendors.
- Write, edit, and proof-read press releases, newsletters, blogs, and marketing material copy.
- Provide content for determined advertising and promotion programs and evaluate compatibility with market trends and desired outcomes.
- Support the implementation of PR, marketing, and Communication strategies to grow brand awareness in existing and new market segments.
- Research and develop both original content and supplied, relevant industry content as it relates to the business and its objectives
- Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content for clients across social platforms.
- Develop and grow presence and reach for external and internal clients across social platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
- Oversee the management of the master content calendar for all social media and digital properties.
- Work collaboratively with key team members and departments to build strong content and digital advertising campaigns to best communicate brand stories and initiatives.
- Craft social promotions and digital campaigns including written, photo, and video content.
- Keep current with emerging digital media behaviour, trends, and technologies.
- Provide guidance for new tools and technologies to be incorporated into the organization to increase their digital marketing presence.
- Leverage analytic tools to provide reporting and insights, track and improve metrics, and influence testing and strategy
- BA/BS or equivalent working experience with 2-3 years of digital and content marketing experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of various types of content.
- Strong proficiency in copy editing.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, preferred.
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of online marketing channels and digital advertising.
- Knowledge of CMS (WordPress, etc.) and analytic tools (Facebook Business Manager, Hootsuite).
- Knowledge of email marketing tools (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc.).
- Ability to balance the creative and analytical sides of marketing, and ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Proactive proven experience in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects.
