Job Description
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Outside Sales Representative position. The Outside Sales Medical Representative is responsible for building strong professional relationships and working very closely with Norco customers and referrals. Specific desired outcomes are to: Expand overall sales, improve overall margin, introduce, and sell new products, secure business with long term supply agreements, all while taking excellent care of our expanding customer base. Problem solving includes troubleshooting and resolving higher-dollar customer issues and managing relationships with significant accounts. Impact includes potential for significant customer service, reputational, and financial implications. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with referral sources ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price, and use
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Work in harmony with inside customer service teams in order to meet company objectives
- Act as a liaison between Norco Medical and the patient/client, family, care giver, physician, and other healthcare agencies and staff
- Keep apprised of industry billing criteria as it relates to specific customer insurance requirements
- Conduct, participate in, and attend educational meetings and in-services for healthcare workers, patients/clients, families, care givers, physicians, and community members
- Assist Medical Customer Service in researching and pricing special order items
- Deliver patients’ durable medical goods (DME) to facilities when required
- Route patient information to appropriate personnel/departments as necessary to order, deliver and bill medical products and services
- Consistently review and report on sales calls, sales outcomes and sales opportunities (to branch managers, sales managers, Regional VP’s or Exec. VP, whichever is appropriate for the item)
- Secure Norco business through the use of product supply agreements (where applicable)
- Maintain excellence in the area of operational discipline regarding all safety practices; follow all company safety policies
- Process customer orders and accurately input customer orders into the computer
- Meet or exceed the annual sales objectives in various categories
- Stay informed of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks as assigned or needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent,
- College degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
- Respiratory/Clinical experience a plus
- 6 months previous sales experience
License or Certificate Required:
- Valid regular driver’s license

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work with a diverse clientele
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Excellent attention to detail
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) a plus
