AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. Founded in 2004, AG&E has 7 offices across the US and one office in India. We are searching for a BIM Manager to join our team in Dallas, TX.
SUMMARY
Candidate will possess significant experience in preparing structural design documentation for small to large building structures of aviation, commercial, educational, institutional, mission critical, high-tech manufacturing or healthcare projects. The position will entail a leadership position in BIM development and BIM training. The position will have direct interaction with our engineering team and has great potential for position advancement and career development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Technical
- Operate Revit with a strong knowledge of Revit family manipulation
- Ability to produce accurate construction documents
- Review structural models and documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and perform clash detection
- Expertise in reading and interpreting construction documents
- Coordinates and assists with any addendum, request for information, change proposal requests and change orders
- Responsible for incorporating agreed upon changes into the project models and documents
- Proactively solve problems without immediately looking for outside help
- Coordinates the downloading, uploading, and transmitting files
- Understands project timeline and budgets within each project
- Plans BIM activities for projects such as plan modeling, detailing, redlining, and printing
- Provides leadership developing and maintaining Revit families, detail libraries and other graphic tools, as needed
- Trains other BIM personnel and Engineering staff in Revit
- Learns other BIM software as requested by leadership and develops plans for implementation and training
- Responsible for producing accurate models
- Assists in managing software licensing for all BIM technology
- Works with IT vendor and staff to track and maintain equipment
- Accurately report on progress of assigned projects
- Provide BIM insights and vision to leadership team
- Participates with Technology Development team to improve processes
- Continuously reviews work and processes to improve efficiency
- Act as a technical resource to peers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory
- Coordinates tasks for BIM staff
- Manages BIM staff on projects
- Responsible for reviewing BIM work by others as assigned
- Trains BIM staff
- Responsible for timely Performance Reviews and timely feedback to staff
- Conducts screening exams for prospective and current staff
Client Liaison
- Attends client meetings, as requested,
- Coordinates standards with clients on an office-by-office basis and a project-by-project basis, as needed
- Serves as a technical resource to clients
Business Development
- Attends networking functions, open house, and industry events Looks for opportunities to expand BIM services
- Assists in preparing marketing presentations and other marketing and business development graphics, as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree or technical school credential with emphasis on architecture or structures, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum ten (10) of professional experience
- Internal candidates with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience at AG&E will be considered for this position if recommended by supervisor to leadership

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Travel to the Companies various offices, as needed
- Travel to construction sites is not normally a requirement of this position, but may be requested from time to time, generally local by car travel only
