What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Support Associate position at AG Marketing?
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for sales order entry, price verification, invoice discrepancy investigations, adhering to Control Distribution by territory and customer segment, managing service issues via phone, email or fax and providing inside sales support. The position requires exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
REGULAR DUTIES
- Enter sales orders quickly and efficiently
- Control distribution management, awareness and implementation along with daily audits on orders entered
- Establish strong relationships with assigned customers, including daily communication, ship schedule distribution, and other customer requests
- Establish strong working relationships with outside sales force
- Maintain strong communications with team members. Must be flexible with workloads, work hours, market conditions and serving as back-up for team members.
- Maintain strong communication with all other internal departments
- Manage and research all discrepancies with extensive knowledge of internal software, documents and procedures within the allowed timeframe

- Perform additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED desired
- 1 to 3 years experience in call center or customer service
- Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong focus on problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong work ethic
- Must be well organized and work well in a team environment
- Must be self-motivated, display accountability and work with minimal supervision
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Proficient oral and written skills
- Exercises sound judgment within assigned responsibilities
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Presents professional and personable image with a positive attitude
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must have manual dexterity to type on a computer keyboard.
- Continued hand/wrist motion is required to operate computer and office machinery
- Must be able to read papers and reports without assistance
- The ability to bend and twist is required for filing
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular, full predictable attendance in the office is an essential function of the job
- Must have reliable in-home internet service
- Monday – Friday vary from 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; 8-hr shifts. Must have ability to change shifts as needed to meet operational needs.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to fulfill assigned duties
