Agape Academy for Autism and Neurodiversity is seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary Professional Daycare Director to help launch and lead a one-of-a-kind, innovative daycare dedicated to children with autism and related neurodiverse conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all paperwork for regulations and standards.
- Oversee enrollment documentation and signatures.
- Monitor the fidelity to the curriculum, specialized programs and best practices designed to support children with autism and related neurodiverse conditions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment.
- Be willing to be certified in further training (paid class and training time) for early intervention and autistic support.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, parents, specialists, and the community to ensure comprehensive care and educational support.
- Agree to a variable schedule as needed.
- Assist with opening daily (up to 10 days a month) on a predetermined schedule
- Assist with the launch of the Academy, including completing and applying for required licenses and certifications, reviewing and checking for compliance on all required documents before opening the doors.
- Assist with the launch of the Academy with receiving deliveries of daycare furnishings and supplies.
- Assist with setting up each of the 3 classrooms and 1 sensory room.
- Assist Executive Director as needed with review of staff applications and interviews as needed.
- Assist as needed with the planning of community events and fundraisers as needed (paid).
- Be present as needed to represent Agape Academy for Autism and Neurodiversity at planned community events and fundraisers (also paid).
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven Leadership Experience: Prior experience directing a daycare or early childhood education facility.
- Specialized Expertise: Knowledge and experience working with children with autism, other neurodiverse conditions, and challenging behaviors.
- Early Intervention Background: Experience implementing or supervising early intervention programs.
- Vision and Drive: A passion for establishing and growing a groundbreaking facility dedicated to helping children thrive.
- Exceptional Communication & Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively lead, inspire, and collaborate with staff and families.
- Personal Experience With: Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delays, Behavioral issues, or related neurodiverse conditions.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in launching a new daycare or early intervention facility.
- Familiarity with Pennsylvania’s licensing and regulatory requirements.

The start date for this position is 2 weeks before opening. Opening is set to be July 2025 as long as all permits are established. August 2025 if delayed.
