Overview
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistant. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in their homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide direct support and companionship to clients
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs as required
- Ensure residents' rights and dignity are respected at all times
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Lift and move clients as needed, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide hospice care and support when applicable
Skills
- Experience in home community care is preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations
- Ability to cook nutritious meals for clients
- Proficiency in providing direct support to individuals with various needs, including working with people with autism
- Capability to lift and move clients safely
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus
