Summary of Position
The Biblical counseling/life coach positions at Agape House will provide quality grace-based counseling for program parents, families, students and community clients. We are not a behavior modification counseling center. We apply compassion, grace, and prayer while providing necessary counsel, homework, and readings to encourage the discovery of root causes of the presenting symptoms.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain a quiet, neat, and comfortable environment of safety for clients. To begin by developing a healthy therapeutic relationship. To provide grace and Biblical truth to the presenting counseling need.
2. To keep confidentiality a high priority and an integral part of the health and well-being of the client. This includes the safe keeping of all counseling notes and assessments.
4. To complete client summaries on a 3–4-month basis to include goals, plans of action, marked improvements and recommendations for moving forward.
5. To participate in team staff meetings and consults as provided and necessary.
6. To continue to work on personal and professional development by participating in all-staff trainings, webinars, conferences, research, or latest biblical/counseling-based knowledge.
7. Provide reports and keep records of all counseling activities in accordance with the procedural guidelines of Agape House Counseling Inc.
8. Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in the counseling center as a whole. This may include minimum custodial tasks.
9. To assist in maintenance of department’s plan for continuous quality improvement.
10. Participate in programs and administrative activities of the institution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education base to include study in religion, counseling, and/or psychology.
A working understanding of grace-based biblical teaching.
A passion for the lost, hurting, and of all those seeking help and showing no prejudice of heart or mind towards any ethnicity or religion.
An overall understanding of the Word of God, the workings of the Holy Spirit on earth today, and the plight of the human condition.
Show a value for teamwork and a humble understanding of how individuals are the vessels used by God, but He is the healing source.
Ability to work with internet/electronic filing, scheduling, and calendars.
Basic office organization and management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
