Lead Intake Specialist
20.00 Hourly / Mon-Fri 9 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.
This position is responsible for ensuring that the program meets and exceeds Quality Assurance standards set forth by the Department of Children and Managing Entity (ME)- Thriving Minds. The Lead Intake Specialist is an individual with abundant experience in the admissions process that oversees documentation is completed as required by all staff in the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Knowledge of the standards set for by the Department of Children and Families and Managing Entity (ME)- Thriving Minds.
- Assigning the new individuals served to their therapists and assigning clients numbers.
- Screening incoming referral calls and the appropriate handling of such calls for initial screening of the individual served verification of documentation, and scheduling of appointment time.
- Training all new intake assessors on the admission process and documentation required.
- Responsible for communicating with residential supervisor on tasks involved with the admissions department.
- Confirm with the individual that they understand and have received a copy of the house rules from the Staff on Duty.
- Ensure that the individual files are turned over to medical records.
- Attends Staff meeting and / or required trainings outside the agency.
Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, or related human services field.
One year experience working with mental health and / or substance abuse population.
Experience in Intake / Admissions process
Experience with computers and data tracking system.
