We are looking for a Rock Star Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Continuing Education trainings to improve and hone skills
Core Competencies:
Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience
CPR Certification
Prior knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus, but not required as we will provide training
Essential Functions:
- Excellent communication skills
- Impeccable organization for inventory control
- A willingness to be flexible and accommodating for patients
- Placement, finishing and polishing of composite and intermediate restoration
- Fabrication of temporary crowns and cementation.
- Coronal Polishing
- - Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- - Take and develop dental x-rays- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring molds and fabricating temporary crowns
- - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient billing
- Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent
- - Completion of an accredited expanded function dental assistant program
- - X-ray certification
- - Knowledge of dental/medical coding and billing procedures
- - Familiarity with computerized assisted design (CAD) software for dental prosthetics is a plus
- - Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
