Job Summary:
Oversee and direct the Inventory control team. Performs all inventory control duties including shipping/receiving, cycle counting, and making all necessary entries as may be required. Ensures proper flow of inventory systematically and proper transactions are being recorded in the ERP system at all points of receipt, shipping, posting or creation of goods. Plan, organize, and oversee all activities related to cycle counting, and physical inventory events of all raw material, WIP and Finished goods. Assist in new part creation and master data validation. Champion OBS tracking and disposal working with plant controller and Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Report out results of cycle counts, physical inventory events and track efficiency to include overall discrepancy as a net, and gross value.
- Analyze and root cause discrepancies and report out to include immediate corrective actions taken and potential preventative actions.
- Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock including investigations of discrepancies or adjustments of errors.
- Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Provides assistance and or direction to other Supply Chain Associates.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports of inventories and goods used or issued to include count results.
- Confers with other associates regarding stock procurement and availability.
- Recommends disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock and assist in determining accruals.
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma required
- Associate degree preferred and/or three to five years in related experience
Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, 8D, etc.
- Basic to moderate computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MAPICS, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
