Summary of Position:
The SAP/MRP Specialist will serve as an SAP Key User and the first line of support at their home plant for all SAP-related areas, including EDI, Shipping, Production, Purchasing, and Receiving. This role is crucial in providing training, developing process documentation, standardizing processes, and acting as a liaison between the plant and corporate SCM and IT teams. This position will also have other key responsibilities in the plant supply chain department as defined by the Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate support for SAP-related issues in EDI, Shipping, Production, Purchasing, and Receiving.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for new and existing employees on SAP processes and procedures.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user manuals.
- Develop process documentation and user procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Standardize processes across AGC locations where necessary.
- Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new SAP functions and processes.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure system changes do not negatively impact existing processes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in existing processes and systems.
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules related to EDI, Shipping, Production, Purchasing, and Receiving.
- SAP certified (Preferred)
