Financial Analyst (Revenue)

SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst plays a key role within the finance/accounting organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the budget process, creating annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and financial reporting.
 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with department owners to create annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and longer-term strategic operating plans.
• Maintain financial statements within accounting software and other areas as needed.
• Complete revenue forecasting and generation in conjunction with other departments.
• Analyze new contracts and incorporate them into revenue workbook for recognition and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly revenue journal entries.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts.
• Prepare presentation materials in support of Monthly Reporting Package, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Executive/Board level presentations.
• Establish additional reporting requirements as needed under IFRS-15 and JSOX.
• Support monthly reporting including variance analysis, analytical reviews, management commentaries, and KPI monitoring.
• Partner with department owners to review monthly results and ensure results are properly recorded.
• Develop business unit operational and investment analysis identifying business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform ad hoc business analysis as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a financial or business analyst or similar role required.
• Strong computer/financial system skills; proficiency with MS Suite and advanced Excel skills required.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
$74,960 - $108,570
