JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Global Marketing Events will be responsible for leading and overseeing our international events strategy and program. Attendance at tradeshows and conferences serves as a critical strategy to expand our brand presence, secure business opportunities, and engage with prospects, clients, and key industry stakeholders. This role is instrumental in ensuring a compelling brand experience at each event, strengthening client relationships, enhancing our organizational reputation, and driving business growth. The Senior Manager will also play a key role in planning other customer-facing events globally in line with an overall events strategy.
This position is based at our Global Headquarters in Bothell, Washington. It is a hybrid role with the expectation to be in the office minimum 3 days per week. There will also be frequent travel required up to 2-3 weeks per quarter, including international travel to Europe and Asia. This role will report into the Global Head of Marketing.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage our annual Life Science conference and tradeshow strategy; by offering data-driven recommendations based on business objectives and competitive intelligence. Build and maintain the annual event budget, providing strategic recommendations on appropriate investment levels including budget proposals, and cost estimations for each event, Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and other internal teams to define each specific event objective, strategies, and tactics while managing planning and delivery
- Lead the development of booth designs, use of space, and advertising graphics in partnership with our graphic designer and in line with event audience and marketing objectives
- Collaborate with the rest of the Marketing team to strategically plan event advertising, promotions, and marketing materials
- In addition to leading external events strategy and planning, develop proposals for company-led customer events and conferences, again based on business needs and competitive intelligence
- Manage all event logistics working closely with key industry event groups and organizers, including contracts, vendor selections, purchase requisitions, etc.
- Lead efforts to measure event ROI, including evaluating against related sales and marketing KPIs and providing comprehensive post-event analysis, working closely with our Event App partner Zuant and the Business Development Operations team
- Manage and coach direct report, Marketing Specialist for Events, overseeing their daily work and contributions to the success of the Event program
