The Regional Operations Manager will work with us at any of the following locations : Chatsworth, Calhoun, or Clarkesville, GA.

The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) provides leadership and supervision for assigned loan support employees in the designated team / locations. This position is responsible for day-to-day loan operations support to lenders, employee development, and customer excellence of the assigned team.

Loan Processing Supervision / Management

  • Provide supervision to loan support staff in the assigned locations regarding loan transactions and customer service.
  • Mentor, coach, counsel, and develop assigned staff to ensure the delivery of loan processing and branch operations.
  • Ensure prompt, accurate and comprehensive data entry of loan transactions to support the loan process life cycle.
  • Evaluate and monitor key metrics reflecting the efficiencies and effectiveness of the assigned location's loan processing transactions.
  • Collaborate with Regional Lending Managers and other members of management to ensure effective branch operations and customer service.
  • Ensure alignment of loan support staff objectives are in accordance with the mission objectives of the Association.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of loan processes and responsibilities to assist in office locations when necessary.
  • Visit office locations and participate in team and Association meetings as needed.

Member Servicing Supervision / Management

  • Operate as a subject matter expert regarding loan operations processes, providing an escalation point for issue resolution.
  • Manage effective internal and external customer relationships to provide a high level of service based on a culture of quality, timely, innovative, and flexible service focused on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • In collaboration with Human Resources, ensure staff training and continued learning is in place to ensure consistent use of loan origination systems, servicing systems, business processes, policy and procedure updates and compliance training.
  • Collaborate with Director of Loan Operations and other Regional Operations Managers to ensure all policy and procedural changes impacting the loan support's responsibilities are effectively communicated and implemented timely.
  • Monitoring Internal Controls

  • Assist in refining and updating the loan operation manual and operation procedures as needed.
  • Ensure internal controls are regularly validated to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Review and monitor internal reports, quality control results, internal and external audit results, to identify deficiencies; then adjust as necessary to coach, train, and provide guidance to remedy any deficiencies identified.
  • Consult regularly with assigned regional lending managers and lending officers to ensure accountability in customer service, work is completed timely, and efficient processes are occurring as intended. Adjust as necessary to accomplish the overall objectives of Loan Operations Department.
  • Other Duties as Assigned / Personal Employee Development

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include specific projects.
  • Participate in continuous learning activities to sustain knowledge of the industry, management practices, and Association policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Education and / or experience equivalent to an bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or Finance, paralegal experience.
  • 7 - 10 years of knowledge and experience of loan processing and lending compliance.
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with team and branch contacts speaking, writing, and listening.
  • Detail oriented, self-disciplined, and able to manage a large number of staff with varying degrees of knowledge and expertise.
  • Ability to organize and lead projects and initiatives; comfortable working under pressure in a changing environment to meet varying deadlines, working independently and collectively within a diverse team environment.
  • Demonstrates team / location leadership by identifying and implementing process improvements and contributes to building a positive team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of Farm Credit branch loan documentation requirements, loan operations and Association policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations.
  • Has the ability to transfer knowledge to others via mentoring, shadowing experiences and management of staff.
  • Ability to travel via auto to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to focus on problem solving skills (critical thinking) with solution-driven results.
