Job Summary:We are seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. This part-time position involves assisting doctors with various tasks, including charting, placement of fillings, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors in clinical procedures and treatment, such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments.
- Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and assure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
- Enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor.
Requirements:
- EFDA Certification or on-the-job training required per state requirements.
- Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
- 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
- CPR Certification required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.
