Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual systems in various environments. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems and the ability to work with both hardware and software components. The Audio Visual Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that all AV equipment operates smoothly and meets the needs of our clients.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot software issues related to AV equipment and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters for installation and repair tasks.
- Manage cabling installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards for low voltage systems.
- Provide field service support to clients, addressing any technical issues that arise during events or installations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for complex AV challenges.
- Document all work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
Skills
- Proficiency in maintaining audio-visual equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation (E & I) principles as they relate to AV technology.
- Experience with cabling techniques for low voltage installations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and voltmeter usage for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Strong software troubleshooting skills for resolving AV-related issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a field service capacity, providing on-site support as needed.
- Experience with telecommunication systems is a plus.
- Understanding of computer hardware components as they relate to AV systems.
