We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the dental office and assist with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using dental management systems.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Process patient payments and manage medical collections when necessary.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits, including Medicare and other coverage options.
- Utilize ICD-9 coding for billing purposes and ensure proper documentation for insurance claims.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing any issues or questions regarding treatments or procedures.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and managing correspondence as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Proficiency in clerical duties, including typing and phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, ICD-9 coding, and medical collection processes is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
