We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee our shipping and receiving operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders.
- Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee the organization of materials handling processes, including inventory management and stock rotation.
- Coordinate shipping schedules with logistics partners to ensure efficient delivery of products.
- Monitor the performance of shipping equipment and machinery, performing basic mechanical maintenance as needed.
- Implement best practices for e-commerce fulfillment to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a distribution center environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including familiarity with e-commerce operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and coordinate with other departments.
- Experience with materials handling equipment is an advantage.
