Laurel, Maryland manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to work in our corporate office. Candidate should have a strong work ethic with solid attention to detail. Having a bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar area of study is a plus. Experience in accounts payable is preferred. Must be a solid team player and possess good communication skills. Candidate will work heavily with the controller and the accounting team. This position will also be responsible for front desk duties such as receiving and sending mail, answering phone calls, etc.
Expected duties include:
· Posting accounts payable invoices and processing weekly check runs
· Reconciling statements and communicating with vendors
· Updating sales tax spreadsheets
· Completing credit applications for new vendors
· Scanning payments into database
· Assisting in ad-hoc projects
· Front desk
