Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced Application Developer and Database Administrator with expertise in leveraging cloud technologies, web development, and database management. The successful candidate will work on monitoring and performance tracking, application deployment, and custom development to meet mission needs. This role will involve using various technologies, including Splunk, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS, Python, JavaScript, C#, and Databricks. Key Responsibilities : Utilize Splunk for monitoring activity, performance, and issues related to applications.
Leverage Microsoft SQL Server for database management, configuration, and administration.
Incorporate Sponsor-procured software in system builds to meet project requirements.
Develop and deploy custom Windows services and web applications tailored to mission needs.
Deploy applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud infrastructure.
Extract and transform data using Python for automated processing.
Use JavaScript and CSS to develop responsive web applications.
Integrate and use RESTful web services for application functionality.
Develop server-side applications with C#.
Administer Databricks environments to support data processing needs.
Perform database administration tasks, including standing up new databases, user administration, backup, and restoration processes for development, test, and production environments.
Required Skills : Proficient in using Splunk for monitoring application activity and performance.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database administration.
Expertise in Python for data extraction and transformation.
Extensive knowledge in JavaScript and CSS for application development.
Proven experience with REST web services for integration.
Hands-on experience using C# for server-side application development.
Experience administering a Databricks environment.
Proficient in deploying applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud infrastructure.
Strong background in developing and deploying custom web applications tailored to mission-specific needs.
Experience in database administration including standing up new databases, user management, and backup / restore processes.
Desired Skills : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
